The World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines recommend that the intake of added sugars be less than 10% of total daily energy intake, and ideally below 5% (about 25g/6 teaspoons per day). If a player has won all 13 hearts and the Queen of Spades, that player can choose to subtract 26 points from his score, or to add 26 points to every other player's score. Scoring: At the end of each hand, the number of hearts a player has taken, is counted they count for 1 point each. The Queen of Spades can be led at any time. Hearts may not be led until a heart or the Queen of Spades has been played (this is called "breaking" hearts). The winner of the trick gets all the cards and starts the next trick. The highest card of the suit led wins a trick (there is no trumps in this game). Exception: If a player has no clubs when the first trick is led, a heart or the Queen of Spades cannot be played. If a player has no cards in the suit led, a card of any other suit may be discarded. Each player must follow suit if possible. Playing tricks: The player holding the 2 of clubs (after the passing) plays that card to start the first trick. This rotation repeats until the game ends. to the player on your left, 2 to the player on your right, 3 to the player across the table, 4. All players must pass their own cards before looking at the cards received from an opponent. The objective is to get rid of all your cards by putting them onto the pile. If you miss just one card, then you end up with a bunch of points, so proceed with caution! Give this strategy a shot when you have a hand full of high cards.Passing: After looking at his or her hand, each player chooses three cards and passes them face down to another player. Each player gets 7 cards at the start of the game. However, this strategy is extremely risky. If you succeed, then every other player in the game gets 26 penalty points while you get zero. That’s all 13 hearts and the Queen of Spades. While you normally wouldn’t want any penalty cards, when you shoot for the moon, your goal is to bring in ALL of them. You might get stuck taking everything that's left! Be careful taking tricks later in the round, as some players may have gotten rid of suits and be able to play off-suit. As a bonus, you get to choose the suit for the next trick! If you're going fourth and no point cards have been played, it's also a good time to consider playing a high card that takes the trick as well. No point cards may be played on the first trick, so you can always safely take that trick with a high card. Hey, that's my trick! It sounds crazy, but it's often a good thing to take a trick. This will guard you from taking in any penalty cards if they’re played in the round. If you're going afterwards, play the highest card you can without going over the earlier players' cards so you don't risk taking points. When you start the trick or go second, play the lowest card possible. With every hand, the player with the highest ranking card of the starting suit takes the trick. For example, if you start a round with one club card, after the first trick you won't have any more clubs! You'll be able to play one of your high cards or maybe even the Queen of Spades anytime someone leads with a club after that. In Hearts, it's advantageous to get rid of one or two of your suits as quickly as possible, so you can ditch your high cards and point cards of other suits when other players play that suit. ![]() ![]() If you don’t have any cards that match the starting suit, throw in a heart (or the Queen of Spades) to give one of your opponents the penalty.ĭrop a suit. Keep an eye on who starts the hand, also called “the trick,” and what cards are being played around the table. The more you play, the more you’ll see opportunities to trick your opponents into taking the hand and adding points to their score. Passing these to your opponent makes it less likely for you to lose the hand and potentially take in any penalty points that are played. Typically, you’ll want to get rid of any higher-ranking cards: Aces, Kings and Queens. At the beginning of every round, when you pass three cards to your opponent, try to pick the three worst cards you've got. Once four cards have been played, the player who put down the card of the starting suit with the highest value takes all the cards. If a player does not have a card of the same suit, then they may play any other card in their hand. That player decides what suit to play (however they can only start with a heart card if one has already been played), then other players must play a card of that same suit, if possible. The players choose three cards to pass on to an opponent at the beginning of every round and whoever holds the two of clubs must start the first turn with that card.Īfter the first hand, the player who took all of the cards in the previous hand will start the next hand. To start the game, each player is dealt 13 cards. Each heart you bring in gives you one penalty point, and the special card, The Queen of Spades, is worth 13 penalty points. Its glacial tempo, repetitive daily routine and sometimes humdrum dialogues are a deliberate, conscious reflection of the lives of Possum Springs’ residents, I get it. In fact, the game should have arguably been more ruthless in its self-editing. It should be approached at the pace of its sleepy town, soaking in the atmosphere and not leaving any conversational stone unturned, and playing in this manner will easily take in excess of 10-12 hours to reach completion. What’s surprising is how hefty an undertaking Weird Autumn actually is. A staggering attention to detail, from the yellowed leaves Mae kicks up as she walks to the squirrels hastily ferrying nuts across power lines, makes Possum Springs feel so alive. Spend enough time getting to know the other inhabitants of Possum Springs and you’ll find that they all have a story to tell. Yet these three are only the tip of the iceberg. From the parties, band practices and misadventures you embark on together throughout Weird Autumn’s duration, it’s impossible not to fall in love with this charming bunch of misfits. The 9 takes a larger photo it seems, but with worse low light performance.īottom line, you're not gonna go wrong with any modern camera made by any modern manufacture. Casually reading around quickly, it doesn't seem like there is a lot of big differences between the two. I'm gonna assume since it came out after the g7, it's got something better the g7 doesn't have. I'm not an expert on this stuff, so maybe I'm speaking more out of the personal experience than expertise, so take my advice here with a big side of salt.Īs for the gx9 - never used it, and sadly, not familiar with it. Those older glasses, depending on make and model, are known for sharpness that, in terms of modern lenses, requires much higher price tags. I've never used zoom for macro purposes really because of the usual minimum focus distance issues. I'm not gonna sit here and argue about DXO ratings. I know it can zoom in farther but will that work better for up close macro work? What are you doing that you need to be so far away for to get something out of the 140mm end frequently enough to make it worth your while?įor me, personally, that long range stuff has never been of much value. Now, if you're in a controlled environment, I'm sure it's fine, but as soon as you try and take something in low light, that 3.5 won't cut it. That 3.5-5.6, to me, is not enough light. I picked up the 40-150 kit lens for like $50 and that's the only other lens I've used - not including stuff for photography. In all but two gigs, I have never had to use any other lens. ![]() I have not worked with this lens, but I own the Panasonic 12-35. Ive ran across several videos suggesting the 14-140mm lens being the best all-around lens for this camera. I've got better equipment, but I keep going back to the g7 to the point, I'm probably not getting a pocket 4k, but a gh5 instead, when the time comes. Sure, other cameras have better bells and whistles, but not for $400. Nothing touches what it does for what it cost. Just my opinion, but the G7 is, hands down, the best pound for pound camera for the price. You can buy all that stuff on ebay for less and frankly, you won't need or use most of it. There's a $50ish dollar rode mic that's perfect.Īre the tripods included with some of the camera bundles any good?Īll those camera bundles on amazon (making an assumption here) are shit. It will be all manual focus, but the g7 has peaking and you can do some great detail work.Īny recommendations on a good inexpensive ext mic? If you're looking to go macro cheaper than the electronic options, get an old 50mm cannon fd, or some m42 mount (helios 44) and get some extension tubes and an adapter. Those kit lenses are pretty soft overall. Will the kit lens be able to zoom in enough to show good detail on coins or will I need some kind of macro lens? Not sure how that works if it's directly to something that is the recorder itself. Looking for a camera that has clean hdmi outputĪs I understand it, when you use hdmi, the camera doesn't allow you to view the live recording so it needs some sort of external solution. ![]() |
